3G Broadband or Midband Label
The label below provides an indicative view of a user experience of speed in a 3G data cell. It attempts to show 4 things,
1) that 'up to' speeds have little or no meaning.
2) that average speeds have little or no meaning.
3) spectrum policies particularly the process of spectrum auctions where the spectrum is split into narrow slots can have a profoundly poor impact on user experience.
4) defining a universal broadband service should combine use of 'fixed' and 'wireless' resources
This will be updated with latency numbers (delay) once I have found a way to present these in a representative way.
